I am obsessed with Twitter's billboards.

It has been a while and somehow I received a lot of subscribers in the past 24 hours (where did you all come from??) so I am taking this as a reason to write and give you the #content you came for.
Twitter’s OOH Campaigns
Twitter has recently been taking out ad placements on NY Subways that capture the essence of their audience so elegantly. Here’s some examples:
This direct comparison to Facebook’s OOH ads is perfect:
Why I like it: Twitter has nailed their audience down to a tee and communicated effectively that it’s the place where you can be yourself without needing to explicitly say it. Whereas Facebook continues to feel out-of-touch and propped by some big marketing budget and ad agency, Twitter feels much more genuine and real.
The ads are simple, photographable, and engaging, with enough variations that make you eager to look out for them when you’re out on your commute. It encapsulates Twitter’s brand perfectly and meets their users as they are, not making some faux “ideal user” they’re trying to showcase.
Multiple networks are trying to be the place where you can “be yourself” (Snapchat has also launched a large OOH effort for their Real Friends campaign), I think what has drawn me to Twitter’s so much is that it took the actual content directly from the source, letting the campaign be as “real” as they want their users to be.
